How can you not photograph Honest Ed’s a “carnivalian landmark pulsing with lights, colour and brash advertising slogans” in colour! So after covering Mirvish Village with my large format cameras I switched to a Hasselblad and decided to take a more intimate view of the neighbourhood with a particular focus on Honest Ed’s windows. It was the department store’s last year in business and I wanted to capture the windows, their contents, colour, unique slogans and signage.

The colour images are available as limited edition ink-jet prints. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and the edition is limited to 10 with 3 artist proofs.
